Welcome to Boy Scouts of America Troop 731

We are Boy Scouts of America Troop 731 located in Sugar Land, Texas. We are affiliated with the Sam Houston Area Council (Houston, Texas), the largest BSA Council in the United States, and we are chartered by the Exchange Club of Sugar Land. Our Troop meets on Monday nights at Highlands Elementary beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Philmont 2010

Troop 731 will have a Philmont contingent in June 2010. We have begun registering scouts and adults to participate. The contingent will consist of three crews of 8 scouts and 4 adults each. I have begun assigning crews based on known commitments. However, there are still some spaces for scouts and adults that might be interested in attending. To be eligible, a scout must be 14 years old as of 1 September 2010. Total cost for the trip will be approximately $900 including transporation. This could change depending on travel arrangements. All participants will need to make payments to Sondra by 1 September in order for us to keep our reserved spots. We will need a minimum of $350 from each participant to reserve their space. A second payment before the end of the year that contains the balance of the fees will also be needed from each participant. I will prepare commitment letters and a fee schedule for distribution later this week. Please call or email me with any questions.
